Meet Mr. Shaun Brewer - Carter Elementary School Principal

I am proud to serve as principal at Carter Elementary, where I’ve been part of the Montrose community for over 10 years. My journey in education has taken me through many roles—from teaching preschool, kindergarten, and fifth grade to physical education and five years as a second-grade teacher here in Montrose. Along the way, I earned my Master’s in Educational Leadership from Baker College and completed the GISD Administrative Leadership Academy, which prepared me for my roles in administration, including serving as Dean of Students at Kuehn-Haven Middle School.

Although I live in North Branch with my wife, Sarah, and our two children, Sydney and Logan, we all consider Montrose home! As a family, we enjoy camping and spending time with our large extended family. I’m excited for another year of growth and learning at Carter Elementary and look forward to connecting with students, staff, and families throughout the school year.
